An evolving industry requires new skills.

Canada’s oil and gas industry is evolving; it’s innovating and adopting new technologies to lower costs, increase efficiency and productivity and reduce its environmental footprint.

Unemployed or underemployed workers need to explore ways to redirect their careers into emerging occupations, different work arrangements, a broader energy sector or different industries.

The Energy Career Transition and Employment Resource has been developed to help close the gap by:

  • Providing job seekers an assessment of some of the opportunities based on their transferable skills.
  • Providing employers with insights about available talent in Alberta.

The Energy Career Transition and Employment Resource complements the valuable work of career and employment counsellors. It will be updated regularly, so visit often.
